Environmental consciousness drive concludes at JU’s UIET, Kathua Campus

KATHUA, June 17: A week long  environmental consciousness drive, organized at University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), Kathua Campus, University of Jammu,  concluded, here today.

A total of 200 earthen water pots were placed in the Campus premises including Academic block, Administrative block and Hostels during the drive.

Dr. Meenakshi Kilam, Rector, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu suggested everyone to come forward and participate in bringing the solution to the problems that requires in the transformation of the society.

 She added that one should always connect to nature and move from hurting the planet to healing it. She further impressed upon such social activities and ways aimed at protecting the environment. She also encouraged everyone to take the responsibility of looking after our planet and actively contribute for its sustainability.

Dr. Sourabh Shastri, Incharge Coordinator, UIET, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu expressed gratitude to everyone who voluntarily participated in the act of social cause. Further, he said that it is necessary for one and all to actively promote sustainable and equitable development. Dr. Shivani Sharma and Ritu Sharma coordinated the whole drive.

Palvi Verma, Dr. Rubby Mahajan, Ms. Ritika Gupta, Dr. Nisha Choudhary, Er. Vishawjeet Singh, Er. Arooshi Mahajan, Er. Sourav Gupta, Er. Shivani Sharma, Dr. Sunny Sharma and teaching as well as non-teaching staff members of the Campus participated in the drive.
