Rakesh Minhas reviews progress on PMGSY road projects in Billawar division

KATHUA, Oct 9: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rakesh Minhas today chaired a meeting of concerned officers here in the DC office complex to review the progress of works being executed in PMGSY Division Billawar. 

Taking the appraisal of the progress achieved by the Billawar PMGSY division, the DC was informed about the status of seven projects undertaken by PMGSY Division Billawar.

The DC took in depth review of each work being executed by concerned contractors and asked them to submit a daily progress report to the concerned office, which is to be reviewed at the DC office on a weekly basis.

The DC directed the Executive Engineers to pace up the speed to complete all works in a time bound manner besides calling for removing bottlenecks to achieve maximum target works within stipulated time.

Regarding the pending works, the DC called upon the executing agencies to avoid unnecessary delays on their part. He also laid thrust on adhering to the quality standards of all works taken up by these executive agencies to get durable assets.

On the issue of delay in completion of some works, the DC called upon the executing agencies to penalise and blacklist the defaulters.

The meeting was attended by CPO, concerned officers of PMGSY Billawar divisions and contractors.
